Several Scholarship Schemes offered by Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), for Academic Year 2024-2025.

The Indian Council for Cultural Relation (ICCR) has several Scholarship slots globally under the various Scholarship Schemes for the academic year 2024-25, which are mentioned below:

Age Limit:

Minimum/Maximum Age limit for students under various courses is as under: 

  • PhD-  45 Years Maximum

  • UG/PG- 18 – 30 Years 

Qualification/ Elegibility:

  • Applicants applying for Doctoral courses should submit a synopsis along with the application.

  • Applicants wishing to pursue performing arts course should upload the latest video/audio/ YouTube link of their performance.

  • For admission in UG level courses, it is compulsory to have 10+2 i.e; (12 years) of schooling. It is, therefore, necessary that the student applying for UG level courses must complete 12 years of schooling.

  • Students who are already pursuing Under Graduate (UG) and Post Graduate (PG) courses in India and intend to pursue further studies will have to apply afresh through A2A portal to process their applications, as the applications will not be entertained and processed physically.

  • In order to pursue studies in engineering/science, students should have studied Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at Higher Secondary levels.

  • In Biology-based science subjects, students should have studied Biology, Physics and Chemistry at Higher Secondary.

How to Apply:

  • All applications will be accepted online through A2A ICCR Scholarship Portal (http:// a2ascholarships.iccr.gov. in) only.

  • Applications will not be accepted physically in Indian Missions abroad/lCCR/Universities.

Dos and Don’t for filling in the application on A2A portal

  • Applications should be complete in every detail to avoid rejection of the same by the A2A portal/University/Institute.

  • In case of documents available in local language, applicants are requested to upload certified copies of translations of these documents in English. In case of unavailability of English transcript, the application will be rejected.

  • ICCR scholarships are meant for admissions only in the Indian State/Central Universities/Institutes or colleges affiliated to and recognized by the Indian State and Central Universities. The list of such Universities/Institutes, empanelled with ICCR, is available on the Portal.

  • ICCR does not offer scholarship for Private colleges or Universities.

  • Student has the option of applying in 5 Universities/Institutes of his/her choice in preferential order through A2A Scholarship Portal.

  • In order to avoid rejection from Universities/colleges, applicants are advised to make their subject choices carefully, based on the subjects they have studied at Higher Secondary.

  • List of Universities empanelled with ICCR, where applicant can apply, is available on A2A Portal.

  • List of courses offered and the criteria/pre-requisites for admission in these Universities/Institutes may be referred to on the respective University website by the applicant. This is to avoid time delays in processing applications. A2A Portal has web links of each of the University and courses offered by them.

  • Students should not be allowed or supposed to do any part time/full time job along with his/her studies.

  • Medium of instruction is English in all the Universities in India. Applicants should therefore have good knowledge of English to the extent that they are able to speak fluently in English and comprehend lessons in English without any difficulty.

  • It is reiterated that the admission remains provisional till the time Universities verify the authenticity of original documents. If original documents are not found in order on which provisional admission has been granted by University, the admission offer will be revoked and the student(s) will have to return to their country at their own cost.

  • Duration: 2024-2025 academic Year

  • Last date of application to be submitted by students - 31st May 2024.

  • Last date for universities to inform the decision to students - 30th June 2024.

  • Last date for allocating scholarship and generating offer letters - 15th July 2024.

  • Last date of acceptance by students - 25th July 2024.

Lata Mangeshkar Dance & Music Scholarship Scheme

The Indian Council for Cultural Relation (ICCR) has announced 100 Scholarship slots globally under the Lata Mangeshkar Dance & Music Scholarship Scheme (A1209) for pursing study of Indian Culture such as dance, music, theatre, performing art, sculpture, Indian languages, Indian cuisine, etc. for the academic year 2024-25.

  1. Applications from interested international students for the academic year 2024-25 will be invited online through ICCR'S A2A scholarship portal http://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in. The students will have the option to apply to 5

universities/institutes in the order of their preference of study. Before applying, they are advised to check the eligibility criteria, course offerings and documents required on the respective universities' websites.

  1. Important timeline for the admission process is below:

Opening of ICCR A2A Portal (http://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in/) for submitting the application.

  • Duration: 2024-2025 academic Year

  • Last date of application to be submitted by students - 30 April 2024.

  • Last date for universities to inform the decision to students - 31 May 2024.

  • Last date for allocating scholarship and generating offer letters - 30 June 2024.

  • Last date of acceptance by students - 15 July 2024.

  1. Before applying check the following:

    • Age: For Undergraduate/ Postgraduate courses: between 18 to 40 Years For Phd Programmes 50 Years Maximum.

    • Travel: These scholarship slots include return economy class air-fare (ONE WAY ONLY) to the nearest airport and 3rd AC Train fare to the place of study, if so required.

    • Submission & Verification of Documents: All candidates are requested to submit there documents and verfiy the details mentioned in A2A Portal during the admission process with their original documents including Passport, previous degree certificates, country's unique identification number.

    • Medical Insurance: For all ICCR scholarship students to procure Medical Insurance policy with minimum sum assured for Indian Five Lakhs per annum which is equilvient to NZD $11,000 approx.

      • Undertaking: All Candidates are requested to read the terms and conditions/ Guidelines of ICCR schplarship as specified in the Scholarship Manual 2024- 25, which is avialble on Portal as well.
