ICCR AYUSH scholarship 2024-2025

The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), MEA, Govt. of India offers Scholarships to Foreign Nationals to pursue various Courses in Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH) in India.  

Acceptance of AYUSH at international level has resulted in growing demand from Foreign Students to study in Indian Institutions. The Ministry of AYUSH under its ‘International Fellowship Programme’ extends financial support to the eligible foreign nationals for undertaking AYUSH Degree Courses in premier Institutes in India. 

The details of the AYUSH Scholarships being offered are Under Graduate & Post Graduate in Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha & Homoeopathy, BSc. in Yoga, and Ph.D. in Ayurveda, and Unani.

COURSES AND ELIGIBILITY

Under Graduate courses

* Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS): 5 ½ year degree course including one year mandatory clinical training (internship)

Eligibility: 12 years of schooling with science subjects (Physics, Chemistry & Biology)

* Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery (BSMS): 5 ½ year degree course including one year mandatory clinical training (internship)

Eligibility: 12 years of schooling with science subjects (Physics, Chemistry & Biology)

* Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS): 5 ½ year degree course including one year mandatory clinical training (internship)

Eligibility: 12 years of schooling with science subjects (Physics, Chemistry & Biology)

* Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicines and Surgery (BAMS): 5 ½ year degree course including one year mandatory clinical training (internship)

Eligibility: 12 years of schooling with science subjects (Physics, Chemistry & Biology)

* B.Sc in Yoga: 3 year course

Eligibility: 12 years of schooling 

* B. A. (Yoga Shastra): 3 years course

Eligibility: 12 years of schooling

Post Graduate Courses

* M.D. Ayurveda: 3 year course

Eligibility: BAMS degree recognized by Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM)

* MD Siddha: 3 year course

Eligibility: BSMS degree recognized by Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM)

* MD Unani: 3 year course

Eligibility: BUMS degree recognized by Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM)

* MD Homoeopathy: 3 year course

Eligibility: BHMS degree recognized by Central council of Homoeopathy (CCH)

Ph.D. Courses

* Ph. D in Ayurveda: 3 years course 

Eligibility: MD (Ayurveda) degree recognized by CCIM

* Ph. D in Unani: 3 years course 

Eligibility: MD (Unani) degree recognized by CCIM

PROCEDURE FOR APPLICATION:  Apply at  www.https://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in/

Interested students are required to fill Online application available on A2A portal – country New Zealand. Applications should properly be filled in and submit all the supporting documents Online. Certified copies of all documents should be submitted online with English translations.  

SELECTION PROCEDURE

A scholarship is awarded only when the admission is confirmed by Indian Council for Cultural Relations  (ICCR) after receiving confirmation from the concerned Institute / University. Thereafter, appropriate visas are issued by the Missions or students may register on “Study in India” (SII) portal https://www.studyinindia.gov.in/ for obtaining Unique ID and further process including obtaining visa and registration with FRRO (Visa and registration with the FRRO are to be processed on SII portal).

Note: 

    • Airfare will be provided to the Scholars once at the time of admission and once after completion of the course for travel from the India.
